5th March2011  This year has kicked off to a great start  at JKA National Championships 2011, 5th March  Oh Kami excelled with all students giving a first class performance –Trophies were picked up by Kiera, Morgan, Rebecca, and Ross but important mention also to Cameron, Christopher and Harris who all gave great performances.

Club Competition – February 2011 The Oh Kami Karate Club Championships too experienced a great turn out and aided the selection for the above Nationals.

MAD launch  20th November 2009 Many junior members participated in the club’s demonstration at the launch of the Maryhill Activity Directory at the Shakespeare Youth Club. Glasgow's Lord Provost Bob Winter,MSP Patricia Ferguson, MSP Bob Doris, Partick Thistle Football Club Manager Ian McCall, and Jim Hamilton all watched and enjoyed the occasion.

Glasgow Clubmark award - 7th September 2009    The Oh Kami Karate Club was presented with the highest level of the Glasgow Clubmark Award at a Ceremony in Glasgow City Chambers yesterday, Monday 7th Sept 2009. This was an upgrade of the Clubmark Award previously awarded to the club in 2007, being now the only club to achieve this top level, and acknowledges that the Oh Kami Karate Club meets the strict criteria and is fully committed to providing their members with a safe, effective, inclusive and fun environment. During the time leading up the start of the Ceremony still photographs were displayed on the two large tv screens which including some of the pics taken at the club. A video was then shown to the large attendance which featured our students training – this was very well received.
